yadi kalpita-loka nirakaranam
yadi kalpita-deva nirakaranam
yadi chaika-nirantara sarva-shivam
guna-dosha vichara matis cha katham

If there’s no distinction between a thought-image and the world,
If there’s no distinction between a thought-image and the gods,
If there’s only the limitless One, all is Shiva.
How, then, could there be a distinction between the Real and the unreal?

Si no existe distinción entre una imagen del pensamiento y del mundo,
Si no existe distinción entre una imagen del pensamiento y de los dioses,
Si solo existe el Uno Ilimitado, todo es Shiva.
¿Cómo, entonces, podría haber una distinción entre lo Real y lo irreal?
